The price includes for a vintage tea party setting on beautiful vintage china at your venue, a selection of quality sandwiches, cakes and scones with clotted cream and preserves, served with a selection of teas or coffee, setting up on pretty tablecloths, service included.

Canapes and savouries can be supplied as an extra cost please enquire.
Please ask if a price is required for a smaller party.
Discounts may be available for larger parties dependent upon size and location.
Banquet style white tablecloths can also be provided as an extra charge of £3.50 per tablecloth subject to availability.
Vintage China hire
Vintage China hire is quoted for 1 days usage with a day either side for delivery or collection. Please note this does not include for setting up, or provision of food or drink. Setting up if required will incur an extra cost dependent upon party size, please enquire.
Each vintage china tea set is suitable for up to 5 people and contains the following:
1 large teapot
1 3-tier cake stand and 1 cake plate
1 cake slice
1 milk jug, 1 sugar bowl & sugar tongs
1 jam & 1 cream dish, 2 jam/cream spoons
5 cups, 5 saucers & 5 tea plates
5 teaspoons, 5 cake forks & 5 tea knives
If the above set does not meet your specific requirements and you would like a different mix or extra items please ask and we will be happy to meet your needs.
A non refundable deposit of £100 is required from you, the client, to secure the date and service required.
The payment is non refundable if you cancel. If you need, however, to change your date the deposit can be transferred to your new date (subject to our availability). The full balance is to be paid no later than 28 days prior to the event, if not received by this time we reserve the right to withdraw our services at no penalty to ourselves. Payment to be made by bank transfer.
The client is the person who is making payment to use for the services provided.
In relation to china hire a loss/damage deposit of between £50 and £450 (dependent upon numbers) will also be required 28 days prior to the event. This will be returned to you when the china has been collected and checked. Any breakages/damages/loss will incur a £5 fee per item, with the exception of cake stands & teapots which will incur £20 per item. In the unlikely event that damages exceed the deposit full replacement cost will be required at a reasonable cost agreed.
Location and price
Prices apply for services in Staffordshire, Cheshire, Shropshire, Stoke on Trent, Derbyshire & South Manchester. A supplement may apply for other locations. Advertised prices are for the current year unless otherwise stated. Please enquire for next year's prices.
Agreement in writing
I will provide a written agreement of what you require in the form of an invoice this is to ensure your exact needs are met. If you require any further services I will endeavour to provide these and the agreement (invoice) will be amended to match any extra requirements provided. Accurate guest numbers should be provided to ensure we have sufficient table settings and food to comfortably cater for all your guests
Hire Period (China Hire only)
Hire period is generally 2 to 3 days to ensure you have time to set up your venue. If you need anything other than this, please contact me, and I will do all I can to accommodate you. Once delivered the items are your responsibility and you must take due care and attention during the hire period.
Delivery and Return
Delivery location and time and pick up times will be agreed at time of order.
Subject to a minimum hire cost of £85. China will be delivered and picked up for free within a 15 mile radius of Audley, Staffordshire. If the hire venue is greater than 15 miles distance then a delivery charge will apply dependent upon location.
The hired items will be collected and washed by myself, so I would just ask that all food is carefully wiped off, all tea pots, sugar bowls, etc are empty and that all items are carefully repacked in the same way they were delivered. Do not place these items in a dishwater as this will cause damage to them.
The china hire price does not include for set up. I can however assist in setting up as required but this is chargeable.
Due to the eclectic nature of my vintage china collection I do not guarantee that the items will match. They will be offered as mis-matched sets, which do look most endearing when you mix and match. We do have some matching sets for small parties so please ask! The china will not be cracked or chipped and will be fully functional for use. Some gold gilding and patterns may show signs of age, and there may be slight crazing on the extra old items, but this will not detract from its beauty/functionality in any way. Should you need to add extras after the total hire has been paid for, we will strive to meet these requirements but cannot guarantee this will happen. Orders cannot be reduced once final payment is accepted.
In the event of cancellation within 28 days of the hire date 100% of the total hire or party cost will be retained. If the cancellation is made more 28 days prior to the event then just the deposit will be retained. In the event of cancellation by either party due to adverse weather conditions eg. snow, then an alternative date can be offered or the full amount refunded.
Vintage Tea Party
In relation to tea parties you, the client, will supply electric (240V) and water so I can make the tea. I can either use your kettle, bring my own or supply a tea urn (at no extra cost) for larger parties. You will also need to provide a suitable work area for me for food preparation, this could be a kitchen area or a number of tables in a marquee setting.
I will supply a vintage tea party setting, teapots, cups, saucers, plates, cake stands, cutlery, a selection of teas, coffee, cakes, sandwiches, scones. Tea Party menus may very slightly dependent upon availability of foodstuffs. I will lay the tables with pretty tablecloths and china/cutlery and will ensure your guests needs are catered for. I would expect yourselves, or the venue, to have set out the tables and chairs ready for my arrival, I do not supply chair backs. I will not be responsible for any cleaning of the party venue other than to meet minimum hygiene standards. I will supply sufficient staff for the needs of the tea party unless agreed otherwise.
The vintage tea party will take place at the agreed time and venue for a period of 3 hours unless agreed in writing otherwise. I will attend approximately one to two hours before the agreed start time to set up if required, this is included in the cost. I will clear away at the end of the tea Party taking all items supplied for the tea party with me. Any foodstuffs not consumed will be disposed of.
We will make every reasonable effort to meet any specific dietary requirement or allergies that your guests may have (eg. vegetarian, gluten free) but to avoid disappointment you will need to let us know in advance what these requirements are. We do need to be made aware of who this person is so the appropriate food can be provided. We do carry allergen information for all the food we supply, this is available at the venue, or prior to the event on request.
Petals and Bells take no responsibility in the event of any injury to any party through breakages or accidents concerning any equipment hired from us during the hire period.
In relation to tea party's whilst every effort will be made to provide a safe environment for the party, the client will be ultimately responsible for the safety of their guests. Petals and Bells will take no responsibility for injury however caused during the party.
I would however insist that the client ensures young children are kept away from the hot water area particularly if I have my tea urn in use.
The client is responsible for any breakages incurred by themselves or their guests and will be required to pay for damage at the costs quoted above. It would therefore be appreciated if guests take due care with the china.
Data Protection and Privacy
This data is collected by Petals and Bells only, collected directly from the client via Email, phone calls and personal contact. The data collected is sufficient for booking and delivery of our services to the client. This will not be passed on to third parties for any reason. The data will be held on password protected account. Collection, storage and use of data should have no negative effect on the client.
Data will be kept as long as we are required to keep to meet our legal obligations eg tax purposes. If you have any enquiries in relation to your held data, please contact me using the enquiry form on the website.
